A chat for your WordPress site
A plugin from the WordPress directory, or one line in your theme footer. Either way your signed-in users arrive in the chat as themselves.
Your users are already signed in
Somebody logged into WordPress is logged into the chat, with their display name, avatar and a link to their profile.
Nothing on your server
No chat daemon, no extra database table, no cron job. WordPress hosting is not built to hold a thousand open connections; ours is.
It survives theme updates
Install the plugin rather than editing a theme and the next update does not quietly remove your chat.
Installing it
On WordPress, it goes here
Appearance → Theme File Editor → footer.php, just before </body>. On a block theme, or if you would rather not edit a theme that updates, use any header-and-footer-scripts plugin and paste it into the footer box.
