Add a chat to Joomla

Get your snippet

Sign up, enter the address of the site, and Flyzoo generates the Application ID. If you already have an account, open the dashboard and use Add website instead.

Copy it

It is one block, and the only part specific to you is the Application ID in the first line.

Paste it into Joomla

Content → Site Modules → New → Custom, paste the snippet in the code view, set Position to your template’s footer (often `debug` or `footer`), and set Menu Assignment to “On all pages”.

Turn Prepare Content off in the module’s Options tab. With it on, Joomla runs content plugins over the module and can mangle the script.

Reload the page

The dock appears in the bottom corner and you are set as the site’s administrator. Everything after this — rooms, colours, moderation, operators — is in the dashboard.
