A chat for your live stream

Every streaming platform gives you a chat, and every one of them keeps it. Put the room on your own page and the audience, the history and the regulars are yours — including on the days you are not streaming.

It outlives the stream

Platform chat empties when the broadcast ends. A room on your own page is still there afterwards, which is where a following actually forms.

Beside the player, not under it

Embed the room in your layout next to the video at whatever size suits, rather than taking the dock in the corner.

One audience, not one per platform

Simulcasting to three services splits the conversation three ways. A room on your site is the one place all of them can be.

Installing it

One line before the closing body tag

Anywhere that ends up on every page, immediately before the closing </body> tag — a shared template, a layout partial, or whatever your platform calls its footer code box.

Questions

Why not just use the chat on the platform I stream to?
Because you do not keep it. The audience, the history and the regulars belong to the platform, they are gone when the stream ends, and they are split across every service you simulcast to. A room on your own page is the one place all of them can be, and it is still there tomorrow.
Can I put it next to the video?
Yes — an embedded room sits in your layout at a size you set, rather than as a dock in the corner. On a phone it takes the screen, because a chat beside a video on a 390px screen is two unusable things.
What happens between streams?
The room stays. That is most of the value: a following forms in the days nothing is on, and a chat that only exists during a broadcast never gives it the chance.
Can moderators from my stream moderate here?
Promote them in the dashboard and they have the same tools — removing messages and banning, with the filters running server-side before anything appears.
